Arizona Imams Gather at UICA

On September 4th, 2021, Arizona Imams gathered at the United Islamic Center of Arizona (UICA) to hold an important meeting, unify together, and establish stronger bonds. Imams came from different parts of Arizona, including Kingman, Glendale, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Chandler, Mesa, and Tucson. The meeting has a critical role in paving the way for more to come, helping Imams with their personal development, and serving the diverse Muslim community of Arizona.

The meeting was led by Imam Didmar Faja, whom the attending Imams elected as the head of the group. The Imams introduced each other and talked about their unique experiences. This effort helped them develop more solid and even new relationships. The Imams also laid out some essential ideas about the objectives and responsibilities that the group will have. They decided that more objectives and responsibilities would be initiated and constituted in the next meeting. The meeting was concluded by having each Imam conduct a short camera interview about their reflections on the meeting and vision for the group’s future.

UICA provided lunch for the distinguished Imams and volunteers that helped set up the meeting room and run the logistics.
